In the 'Sharing Thoughts: Even a Moment' exhibition, the showcased results were a deeper exploration of the diverse ideas previously presented regarding chairs. The project was initiated with the question, 'What is a chair? Can we experience something different from a chair?' The research involved listing emotions not typically felt with chairs and designing three chairs based on methodologies to evoke those emotions. 'Trip to Chair,' the current Sharing Thoughts exhibition, was considered a journey exploring our thoughts on chairs. This time, the focus shifted to the formal and structural considerations necessary for the realization of the chair.
The 'Bongbong Chair' was designed with inspiration from a spring toy commonly played with during childhood. The pipes naturally form the seat and backrest in a spring-like shape. Aimed at creating a simple yet attractive impression using a single material, it provides a slight tension when seated, allowing users to move it in the direction they lean for added enjoyment.
